Yes, I took a lot when I was there. I had a problem deciding which one to choose, and that’s not something that often happens with me!

Great selection – I clearly need to go to Ravenna, AND to Bangkok (I’ve changed planes there, that is all!)

Bangkok is my favourite ‘beyond Europe’ city and as my husband and I spent one holiday in S.E. Asia each year while he was alive, we made Bangkok our stopover for a few days. We first went there in 1973 when the city was still full of canals (now concreted over), no high-rises, and the sound of temple bells were what you heard, not the sound of klaxons in a traffic jam. Even so, it’s never lost its magic for me, although I do get impatient and cross with the people sometimes!

We will have to make a stopover there ourselves one day 🙂

Thanks Amy. This was one of my old slides and they will always beat digital any day, I think. Or it may be that I was younger then and able to hold the camera steadier?
