LAST ON THE CARD

Taken on last day of the holiday in early July, as I didn’t take any for the rest of the month.

We are going up the mountain on the funicular
Here we go, up, up and up.
Looking down on Riva main square from the funicular

    Well, we’ve just done this very thing, this afternoon…. Though a cable car rather than funicular. And yes, it’s great!!

    Gorgeous. I remember a lovely meal in Canada at the top of the chairlift at Lake Louise.

      There’s something special, isn’t there, about travelling up a mountain either by funicular or cable-car and then having a drink with a view.

        I have a friend who hates heights and would never go in a cable car even to reach a great restaurant and view!

    I loved Garda, Mari. We went to the top of Monte Baldo and lakeside at Riva. It’s such a beautiful area. I would go back in a heartbeat 🤗🩷

      I didn’t get to Monte Baldo (never enough time on holiday to do everything you want to do) but had a lovely time around the Lake despite the 35 degree heat which did rather limit sightseeing.
