setting out on life’s adventure, first day at big school, seeming weighed down by too many books, lunch-boxes and maybe some home comforts, who knows, but I hope it all went well for this little one.

    Cute and her bag is small compared to some I have sighted near the school gates. Good fodder for the chiropractor in later years.

      Yes, how did we manage with just a small satchel? And my sandwiches, on the days when I wasn’t going home for lunch, were just wrapped in a piece of grease-proof paper, two slices of bread with whatever was available, sometimes just jam!

        We never went home for lunch even though we lived just around the corner. Sandwiches were our main stay. Lettuce and marmite 😄
