This reminds me that Cambodia is one of those famed places to which I have never been and which now I am unlikely ever to visit. Fortunately, there are your photos to give us an idea of it and there is still plenty to interest the curious explorer in this beleaguered island of ours.

I too, have many places I would like to visit (not to mention a lot I’d like to re-visit), but holidays seem unlikely in the near future. And as I have reached the vulnerable age (although until the Covid19 scare I never thought of myself as vulnerable) I must be sensible and not take risks. I shall be glad just to have the freedom to visit family again as we all live far apart.

What a great angle – it looks as though you are in the middle of nowhere….. beautiful.

This illustrates the great work of engineering that was Angkor, between the skillfully carved stones from afar and the impressive earthworks without today’s machines.
