Thursday Doors

Strolling through old Hastings a few days ago, I saw this lovely old door. There were many rare looking doors and doorways but it’s high season and all seemed to have resting visitors. I could quite understand as it was one of England’s hottest days.

What a beautiful glimpse into the charm of old Hastings! The unique doors and doorways really capture the essence of the place. I can totally relate to the resting visitors, especially with England’s heatwave. It’s a perfect reminder of how valuable a door camera and monitor can be to keep an eye on these lovely entrances while staying cool indoors!

I was ignoring the padlock as it seemed too modern for the door! Good observation.

wp never sends me your blogs now, I don’t know what I’ve done to upset them so as I get only a few and those spasmodically. It may be because I haven’t been blogging much this year due to vision problems. But these have been attended to (I hope) and I may manage a return to screen work soon when I shall undoubtedly catch up with you.

It looks teeny tiny! I wonder what’s behind it?

Narnia? A secret passageway to another world? Or maybe just another broken down old garden!

I like the Narnia suggestion best! WordPress seems to be behaving itself today.

I love Hastings Old Town! We have friends who live there (in Hasting although not in the old part) and we’ve enjoyed several happy wanders with them. I’ll look out for this door next time!

I spent a day there when I was in Battle but we only strolled along the esplanade and I had no idea there was such a richness behind the seafront. I went there with friends when I was staying in Brighton last week and can’t wait to go back.

There’s nothing quite like a door for making you stop and point the camera, is there? Hope your week is going well, Mari.
